Testimony of Oscar Larramendi – Uruguay

Good afternoon,

My name is Oscar Larramendi, and I’m from Uruguay.

I’d like to briefly share my experience with Jesus, and especially what I live today through an intimate relationship with the Lord.

A few years ago, I was a skeptic. I rejected anything spiritual—and even more so, anything supernatural. My academic background as a public accountant (among other professional activities) shaped me to think and feel rationally, believing that everything had a logical explanation.

At that time, my father, then 90 years old, had a motor disability (lumbar stenosis) and had been unable to walk on his own since the age of 80. One day, an ordinary man came to his home and prayed for him. And the miracle happened: my father stood up and began to walk—unaided, by himself. There was no rational explanation for this. It was clearly a supernatural moment. He continued walking for the next five years, until the day of his passing.

From that moment on, my life changed. I discovered that the spiritual and the supernatural are real, and that Jesus still performs miracles today. I came to understand that what is written in Mark 16:17–18 is absolutely true. All it takes is the courage, like that man had with my father, to speak with authority in the name of Jesus—and the Holy Spirit moves just as He did over 2,000 years ago.

I began to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus, learning to obey His voice. As I did, I began to witness miracles, healings, and later on, deliverances. I could share hundreds—perhaps thousands—of miracles I’ve seen. Many of them happened in places I never returned to, and I’ve had no further contact with those people. But that’s the beauty of it: it wasn’t me doing anything. It was Jesus, working through my willingness to obey.

All the glory belongs to Jesus.

I have nothing special that you can’t have. I’ve done nothing to earn what Jesus, by grace, has entrusted to me.

Let me share one experience that still amazes me. It happened last year in Mexico, during a FIHNEC event. After I gave a talk, there were nearly 250 people present—many of them sick, seeking a miracle.

As the miracles began to manifest, a long line of people formed. It was impossible for one person to pray for everyone, so I asked some brothers to step up and pray as we had explained in the talk. Around 20 people joined me, and Jesus moved powerfully through all of them. Many healings and deliverances took place at once.

The most touching case for me was a woman who arrived with her mother. She told me her daughter had been deaf and mute since birth. At first, I hesitated. I thought to myself, She’s around 40… they must have tried everything already. And I felt Jesus ask me, “Do you not trust Me?”

I realized my faith was lacking. So I asked the daughter if she believed Jesus could heal her, and her response—through gestures—was hesitant. Then I looked at her mother and asked the same question. Her answer was full of faith: “That’s why I brought her,” she said.

With Jesus’ backing and the mother’s faith, I prepared to pray. Then I heard the Lord again: “Ask her if she wants to hear or to speak.”

I asked the daughter, and again, she seemed unsure. But her mother answered firmly:

“I want to hear my daughter’s voice for the first time.”

Knowing I was about to witness something unforgettable, I prayed over the woman and, in the name of Jesus, commanded her vocal cords and hearing to be healed.

Do you know what happened?

She said, “Mama, I love you.”

Her mother collapsed into tears. I had the privilege of witnessing not just a physical healing, but a life-altering moment for that family and everyone around them. I am certain Jesus was, and continues to be, glorified through that miracle.

I could share countless testimonies—of the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, the lame walking, people delivered and healed—but the miracle itself is not the most important part.

The true miracle is the transformation of a life that now boldly says, “Jesus is real. He is alive. And He’s still doing the same works described in the Bible.”

Thank you. May God bless you.

Let Jesus use you.

Prayer

If something in this testimony touched your heart, I invite you to pray this simple yet powerful prayer of salvation:

“Lord Jesus, I recognize that I’ve lived far from You. Today, I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for me and rose again. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me live for You. From this day forward, my life belongs to You. Amen.”
